They’re so used to this nonsense that they forgot that most of the world has no idea that this nutty stuff even exists. The problem here is that Goku and the others are too close to the problem. The Spirit Bomb doesn’t get any bigger, and Vegeta can’t hold out much longer than Fat Buu did.īuu tries to take a shot at Goku, who’s basically a sitting duck in this situation, but Vegeta manages to wreck his shot and gets Buu to come back and keep fighting with him instead. Somewhere along the way, she started operating a food truck.īut it’s not enough. “Why didn’t we just do this when Vegeta asked, Tien?” “Because fuck him, Chiaotzu, that’s why.”Īnd everyone in Jingle Village raises their hands for Goku too.Īnd here’s Launch, who hasn’t been mentioned since Episode 30 or so. When I first saw this scene, I thought he was just robbing people or something.Īnd Tien and Chiaotzu contribute their energy. Is this him being a park ranger? I know that’s what Toriyama eventually laid out for him, but I didn’t think he had settled on that idea in 1995. Gero programmed him with recordings of Goku’s voice for reference, but still.Īnyway, he holds up two hunters with a shotgun. He was supposed to have been alive at the end of the Cell Games, but he was never shown until here.Īlso, kind of funny that he recognizes Goku’s voice, even though they never met. Then we get a cameo by Android 17, who we haven’t seen since Cell absorbed him way back in Episode 151? Somewhere around there. Yajirobe and Korin join in, although they really should have cooperated when Vegeta was the one talking, you know? That lady there might be Upa’s wife, but there’s no telling. I think it was always understood that Bora and Upa were part of a tribe, but this is the first time we’ve seen any of them. Not sure where all these other people came from. I never noticed this baby over on the left, who looks just like Upa did as a kid. … and so does Bora, who looks even more jacked than ever, if such a thing is possible. The one advantage of Goku asking the people of Earth for help is that he knows more people. Vegeta moves in to buy time, leaving Goku to convince the Earthlings to help, but Vegeta’s still beat up from the last time he tried to fight Buu. … and when it hits him, he turns around to find Goku’s Spirit Bomb. Satan to the point where he chucks a rock at Kid Buu… Meanwhile, the Fat Buu has just about had it. Others don’t trust him, or think that he’s connected to that Babidi character, who was the last guy who talked into their heads. Some people don’t like Vegeta’s bossy attitude, others don’t believe there’s actually a problem, or that raising their hands would do anything about it. There’s not a solid consensus on why the Earth won’t cooperate. This is exactly what Vegeta said would happen, but it’s still scary enough that the guy next to him won’t do it. …and finds himself very exhausted when he finally puts them down. This one dude decides to play along, for whatever reason, and he raises his hands… He’s come to care about the Earth and he really doesn’t want to see it destroyed (again), not when it would be such a simple thing to save it. One can get the sense that Vegeta doesn’t just want to win this thing. The Kaioshins suggest he try a softer tone, but figure he’d never be able to do it, and then Vegeta tearfully pleads with the Earthlings to help. Only most of the population refuses to listen to him. The fate of the universe lies in the success of Vegeta’s desperate plan to make a huge Spirit Bomb from the combined ki of everyone on Earth.
